Oh no....Snow

This is Audrie seeing snow for the first time. We were at Grandma and Grandpa Mayhall's house. She kept saying, "Oh no! Snow!"

Thanksgiving....

We have much to be thankful for every year, but this year is very special!

Thank you, God, for linking our lives with a little girl from across the World. We know that you had this in the plan for us, and it reminds us not to question your plans for our lives. We are thankful for our families and the time we get to spend together. We are thankful for our "cuddle time" in the mornings when Audrie wakes up and comes to our bed, but really isn't ready to be up yet. We are thankful that Audrie is healthy, and growing (up to 23 pounds)! We are thankful that Audrie likes Squeezers (thanks Shasta for the term) and can now say "I lub you"!

I have added some pictures... enjoy!

Update - Conference and Sleeping in our Own Bed!

Hello all:

It has been a little while since our last update, so here we go:

1. I had a conference in Effingham last week. Shasta Bennett and I presented two times and there were also meetings I needed to attend. Mom and Dad came over on Wed night and played with Audrie. Then, dad left for Florida - I cried. I have always felt sad when they leave, but it is different now. I cried because of the bond that I could already see forming between Grandpa, Grandma, and Audrie, and that we are going to miss them both! Grandma is staying around until the 16th to help out us and Aaron and family.

2. After returning from the conference, Jerry and I decided it was probably a good time to try sleeping in her own bed. She took her first nap in her bed, and has been sleeping in it for three nights now. Mom is having a harder time than Audrie is. :-)

3. I have been working hard to keep up with my teaching load and online questions. It is hard to find time to do it all. She really doesn't like me on the computer, so I try to sneak in an email here and there...until she goes to bed. Then, it is hi-ho and off to work I go.

4. We set a record for poopy diapers today. Her paperwork said she normally poops one time per day, but recently she has been taking two. Today... from 130 PM to 730 PM we had 4 dirty diapers. I can understand why she did not eat well yesterday. She must have been full of it:-)

5. Yesterday... we took a tumble down a couple of stairs. Scared us all more than anything.... she got a fat lip, and mom got some bruises and scratches, but we are all healing!

6. Today, we went to FTIA to turn in paperwork to finalize the adoption in Indiana. We also took the opportunity to eat at our favorite Thai restaurant. It was a good day.

Well, I must go and get to work. I will send new pics soon, I promise...
